His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, held at Dubai World Trade Centre. The event, which brings together tourism leaders from all over the world, ends today.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE will continue to play a positive role in the world by creating more chances for growth, supporting fairness, and working toward a better future for everyone. He said this goal is based on the UAE’s values of working together with other nations, building honest partnerships, and encouraging open talks that help the world move forward.
Sheikh Mohammed also said the country, under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is focused on growing its economy and tourism sector. The UAE is investing more in high-quality infrastructure to give travelers the best possible services. He shared that UAE airports are expected to welcome nearly 150 million passengers in 2025.

He pointed out that the strong presence of 166 countries and 55,000 tourism experts at ATM 2025 shows how much trust the world has in the UAE’s tourism sector. He also mentioned that the tourism industry did very well last year, with 30.7 million visitors coming to the country and spending nearly AED 250 billion.
Sheikh Mohammed thanked everyone who has worked hard to make the UAE a top global destination for business and tourism. He said exhibitions like ATM are more than just events — they help grow the economy and build strong partnerships around the world. He added that the UAE wants to create a space where people work together, succeed, and improve life for all.
During his tour, Sheikh Mohammed was joined by His Highness Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates; and His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Olympic Committee.
He visited the Emirates and flydubai booths at the event to learn more about their future plans. At flydubai’s booth, CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith explained how the airline reached its best results ever in 2024, thanks to strong efforts in low-cost air travel. Their goal is to make Dubai a stronger global hub for aviation.
Sheikh Mohammed also stopped at the Emirates Tourism Council booth. There, Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri shared how the UAE is working to make tourism better across all seven emirates, in line with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ plan.
Others who joined him on the tour included Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, and Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Almarri, who leads Dubai’s Identity and Foreigners Affairs department.
ATM 2025 brought together top names from the world of travel, including experts in leisure, business events, luxury, and corporate tourism. This year, a record 2,800 companies from 166 countries took part, and the event is expected to host 55,000 visitors.
