Dubai Allows 24/7 Truck Movement to Boost Logistics

Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Police General Headquarters have announced the extension of the truck movement permit across Dubai, allowing trucks to operate round the clock until further notice.

The decision aims to support the logistics sector and ensure smooth supply chain operations across the emirate. Authorities said the move will help transport and logistics companies carry out their work more efficiently and meet growing economic demands.

However, the 24-hour truck movement will not apply to key routes such as the Airport Tunnel and Al Shindagha Tunnel. Traffic restrictions will continue in these areas to maintain road safety and ensure smooth traffic flow.

Officials highlighted that this step is part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its logistics readiness and support commercial activity in line with the city’s fast-paced growth.

Authorities have also urged truck drivers and transport companies to strictly follow traffic rules and cooperate with officials to maintain high safety standards and ensure seamless movement on Dubai roads.
