In a significant step towards enhancing community well-being, the Executive Committee for Expanding the Scope of the Sharjah Healthy City Program convened its fourth meeting on Monday, October 28, at the Sharjah Health Authority headquarters. The meeting focused on the progress of various cities across the emirate participating in the program and introduced the newly approved brand identity and logo, which align with the emirate’s vision of fostering a sustainable health environment.
The newly launched brand identity and logo reflect an integrated vision that embodies Sharjah's commitment to establishing a comprehensive and sustainable health infrastructure for all its residents. This logo not only highlights the core values of the Healthy City program—innovation, community collaboration, and a focus on health and well-being—but also signifies Sharjah's dedication to achieving the highest global health standards.
The Sharjah Healthy City Program's rebranding symbolizes a pivotal shift towards creating more sustainable and health-resilient urban environments. It captures the emirate's green initiatives and the unique environmental attributes it aims to cultivate in its cities, aligning with future aspirations in public health and sustainable development.
In line with these objectives, the Sharjah Executive Council has approved the formation of the Sharjah Healthy Cities Network. This initiative seeks to mobilize efforts across various sectors, bringing together representatives from both government and private entities to work collaboratively towards sustainable health development goals.

The overarching aim of the Sharjah Healthy City Program is to boost community participation and integrate efforts that will yield positive impacts on public health and overall societal well-being. This initiative aligns with Sharjah’s vision of building a sustainable environment that enhances the quality of life for all residents.
In accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Healthy City Program network will encompass all cities and regions of the emirate. This includes areas such as Dibba Al Hisn, Al Madam, Maliha, Al Bataeh, and Al Hamriyah, alongside previously registered cities like Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Al Dhaid. The program's expansion reflects a commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of all residents across the emirate.
HE Dr. Abdelaziz Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority and the Executive Committee for Expanding the Scope of the Sharjah Healthy City Program, emphasized that the new brand identity marks a crucial milestone in the program's development. He stated that it embodies the ambitious vision to enhance public health and provide a sustainable environment for all Sharjah residents.
Dr. Al Muhairi further remarked that the new logo serves as more than just a visual representation; it encapsulates the emirate's steadfast commitment to innovation and community cooperation in achieving the highest standards of health and safety. He acknowledged the successes Sharjah has achieved in public health thus far, which serve as motivation to continue the program's expansion.
He also highlighted the importance of adhering to the standards set forth by the World Health Organization, ensuring the implementation of quality benchmarks across all initiatives. The Executive Committee is resolute in achieving the objectives and targets of the Sharjah Healthy City Program, planning a series of initiatives and awareness campaigns designed to elevate public health standards and promote a sustainable healthy environment throughout Sharjah.
This comprehensive initiative positions Sharjah as a leader in public health and sustainability, ensuring a brighter and healthier future for all its residents.
