Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has highlighted the importance of making innovation a key part of both organisational strategies and everyday life. He shared these thoughts while opening DEWA’s Innovation Week, which is part of the nationwide ‘UAE Innovates 2025’ initiative, celebrating innovation in its 10th year.

Al Tayer explained that ‘UAE Innovates’ has played a major role in promoting creativity, turning innovation into a fundamental value in government work and society. He noted that DEWA Innovation Week focuses on showcasing the company’s latest advancements in digital transformation, sustainability, and efficiency, as well as its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality.

Innovation Week Highlights

DEWA’s Innovation Week includes an exhibition at its headquarters displaying over 50 innovative projects. It also features various activities and events across different DEWA branches. One of the key events is the Future Next conference, where experts from top local and international companies discuss trends and new ideas. Additionally, DEWA is hosting around 40 workshops—both physical and virtual—designed for employees and school students. These workshops aim to encourage creativity and inspire young minds to play a role in shaping a sustainable future.
