Riyadh Season to Host ‘Royal Rumble’ Wrestling Event in 2025

WWE and the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) have announced that the "Royal Rumble" wrestling event will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in January 2026. This will be the first time the event happens outside North America. The big news was shared during the live broadcast of "Monday Night RAW" from Los Angeles, USA.

Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Sheikh, the head of GEA, explained that hosting the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia shows the country’s goal to bring the world’s biggest events to the Kingdom. He added that this partnership with WWE will help improve the entertainment industry and give people new and exciting experiences.

The Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s most popular events. In this event, men and women wrestlers compete in special matches. The aim is to eliminate all opponents to get a chance to fight for the championship at the biggest WWE event, "WrestleMania."
