For 10 months, 21 experts in health emergencies from Abu Dhabi took part in special training. This training helped them learn new skills and ideas to make health emergency management better. The program was made to improve how the city handles emergencies and make it more ready for future challenges.
James Anthony Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, expressed pride in this achievement. He said the program shows how strong the partnership between Rabdan Academy and DoH is. He also mentioned that this program will help improve how Abu Dhabi prepares for emergencies, builds strong teams, and responds well to health problems.
Morse also said that the skills gained from the program will help Abu Dhabi face future challenges. It will help different organizations work together better and ensure that the city is ready to be a leader in handling health emergencies in the future.
Dr. Rashed Alsuwaidi, Acting Director General of Healthcare Regulatory at DoH, spoke about the department’s goal to create one of the smartest healthcare systems in the world. He said the program helps improve the skills of Abu Dhabi’s healthcare workers so they can respond to emergencies more effectively, ensuring the safety and health of everyone in the community.
The program combined learning from books and real-life experience. It focused on how to manage emergencies, work together with government bodies, and make quick decisions. Participants also learned about best practices from around the world.
The program also included visits to health centers, where participants saw firsthand how emergencies are managed. They learned how leaders handle communication, leadership, and care during a crisis.
The Health Emergency Management Foundation Program is the first of its kind in the region. It gives health experts the chance to improve their skills and helps make health systems stronger. By combining local and global knowledge, the program is preparing Abu Dhabi’s health system to face future challenges.
