OpenAI has launched its new video-making tool called Sora for everyone to use. This tool is part of the growing number of AI technologies being created, and some people worry about how this could affect creative jobs.
The new version, called Sora Turbo, works much faster than the first version released in February. It can make high-quality videos that are up to 22 seconds long.

Other companies like Google and Meta are also working on similar tools, but none of them have been as advanced as expected so far.
During a live event, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said that Sora is still in its early stages but will improve a lot over time.
Only ChatGPT Plus and Pro members will be able to use this tool for now. People in European and British countries will not have access to it yet, but Altman said they are working to make it available there soon.
Basic members of ChatGPT can create up to 50 videos every month in standard quality. They can change the shape of the videos and add their own media to them.
OpenAI has added safety features to stop people from misusing Sora. The videos will have watermarks and extra information to show they were made by AI. They are also stopping videos that show real people until they can improve protections against deepfake videos.
Even with this new tool, Sora still has some problems. Early tests show that some videos can look unrealistic or fail when creating complex scenes. An OpenAI employee warned during the event that people should not expect to create full movies with just a few clicks.
Sora is an important step for OpenAI, but the company is still working to make it better over time.
