Microsoft is making big changes to its products to focus more on AI. The company is working on building better networks and technology to help improve its services. With its partnership with OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, Microsoft is leading the way in creating new AI tools. The company is also building data centers and creating chips to support its AI work.
Nadella sent an email to Microsoft employees explaining that these changes are happening quickly. He said, "Thirty years of change is happening in just three years!"
Parikh joined Facebook in 2009 and worked there for over ten years, managing technology and data center projects. These projects helped Facebook grow into the world’s biggest social network. He left Facebook in 2021 and became the CEO of a startup called Lacework.
During his time at Facebook, Parikh helped build many data centers worldwide. Even as other tech companies rented computing power from Microsoft or Amazon, Facebook was one of the few that continued to build large, high-tech data centers on its own. Parikh also worked on projects like undersea cables and drones that tried to bring internet to remote areas, although those projects were not successful.
