Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities (MBZUH) has officially launched its new Master of Digital Media programme, marking a major step in strengthening the UAE’s advanced media education ecosystem. The announcement was made during the BRIDGE Summit 2025 in Abu Dhabi, drawing attention from regional media leaders, educators, and digital communication specialists.
The new degree aims to equip students with the skills needed to navigate a media environment that is shifting rapidly due to artificial intelligence, new content formats, and changing audience behaviour. The programme focuses on preparing graduates to work confidently across digital platforms, where speed, accuracy, and strong storytelling are becoming more critical than ever.
According to the university, the curriculum is built to help students understand how digital messages shape public opinion and social trends. It blends traditional media principles with modern tools such as data analytics, AI-supported content creation, and multi-platform communication strategies. The goal is to build professionals who can produce impactful content, manage strategic campaigns, and analyse complex media narratives with clarity.
The programme also encourages students to develop responsible communication practices, reflecting the UAE’s vision of fostering a knowledge-driven and innovation-led future. With a mix of practical training and academic depth, MBZUH aims to prepare a new generation of media talent capable of contributing to both national initiatives and the global digital communication landscape.
The launch at the BRIDGE Summit reinforces MBZUH’s growing role in shaping the humanities and social sciences sector, while supporting the country’s long-term focus on media excellence, digital capability, and sustainable development.
