His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, visited the eighth edition of the Dubai Active, Dubai Active Industry, and Dubai Muscle Show at Expo City Dubai. As one of the Middle East's leading exhibitions focused on fitness and bodybuilding, this annual event, held in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, is showcasing a wide array of activities and displays. The event, which began seven years ago, has grown substantially, and this year’s edition is anticipated to be the largest in its history. With an expected 38,000 visitors, it will include competitions, challenges, and engaging talks by world-renowned fitness icons, including Mr Olympia champions.
The exhibition is hosting 400 companies from 40 countries, each representing top brands in bodybuilding, fitness, and sports equipment. The presence of approximately 3,000 industry experts underscores the event's global significance, drawing participants and professionals from all over the world. During his tour, Sheikh Mansoor, alongside high-ranking officials including His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, Vice-President of the Dubai Sports Council, and His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, explored the offerings at various stalls and pavilions. These exhibitions included displays from Italian Exhibition Group Middle East (IEG Middle East) and featured Rachel Chatham, Managing Director of IEG Middle East.
Sheikh Mansoor engaged with representatives of key international firms showcasing their latest products, which span training equipment, supplements, fitness apparel, and more. The event also features an Amateur Bodybuilding Championship, expected to draw significant attention from visitors, further enhancing the appeal of the exhibition.
His Highness expressed appreciation for the efforts of the organisers, emphasizing the Dubai Sports Council’s dedication to supporting such sporting events in partnership with the private sector. He highlighted that these collaborations are critical to the growth of Dubai’s sports infrastructure and facilities, contributing significantly to the local economy and fostering new job opportunities within the sector.
Visitors to the Dubai Muscle Show can look forward to appearances by bodybuilding legends, including Hadi Choopan, eight-time Mr Olympia Ronnie Coleman, famed coach Hany Rambod, and two-time Mr Olympia Big Ramy. Other celebrated personalities like Brandon Curry, Phil Heath, and Kai Greene will offer insights through the Dubai Muscle Talks, sharing their training approaches, nutrition strategies, and motivational perspectives. This unique opportunity to meet fitness icons in person allows fans to secure autographs and capture memorable photos.
A special schools initiative also marks this year’s edition, offering free tickets for students in the UAE in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority and Gems Education Foundation. The program aims to inspire young fitness enthusiasts to embrace active lifestyles and learn from sports professionals.
