Mannara Chopra Mourns Father Raman Rai Handa’s Passing: ‘Pillar of Strength’

Actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Mannara Chopra is grieving the loss of her father, Raman Rai Handa, who passed away on June 16 at the age of 72 after battling health issues. Handa, a well‑known lawyer at Delhi High Court’s Tis Hazari, was deeply respected both professionally and personally. Mannara shared the heartbreaking update in a heartfelt statement on Instagram, writing, “With profound grief and sorrow, we inform the sad demise of our loving father... He was the pillar of strength for our family.” The announcement also included funeral arrangements, stating that the last rites are scheduled at 1 pm on June 18 at the Crematorium Ground in Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai.

The news sent shockwaves through the Chopra–Handa family. Actress and cousin Priyanka Chopra posted a moving tribute on Instagram, writing: “You’ll always be in our hearts. Rest easy, Raman Uncle (Fufaji). Om Shanti.” Her words reflected the deep bond she shared with her uncle. Raman Rai Handa was married to Kamini Chopra Handa and is survived by Mannara and her younger sister, Mitali. His family was known for its close-knit relationships—especially with cousins Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra—and for gatherings at weddings, festivals, and other family celebrations.
