The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, serving as the official channel for social contributions in Abu Dhabi, has unveiled its comprehensive report detailing the allocation of contributions for the year 2023. The report underscores Ma’an's pivotal role in facilitating community-driven initiatives across diverse social sectors.
In the past year, Ma’an spearheaded a total of 57 projects spanning social, health, environmental, infrastructure, and education domains. Collaborating with esteemed partners such as the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Family Care Authority, and Al Noor Centre, Ma’an has effectively addressed key societal priorities.
Dr. Mughir Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, emphasized the paramount importance of individuals in the community, lauding the substantial impact of Ma’an's initiatives in enriching the lives of Abu Dhabi residents. With a total allocation of AED91 million in 2023, Ma’an has directed resources towards enhancing social well-being and fostering a cohesive society.

Salama Al Ameemi, Director General of Ma’an, reiterated the organization's commitment to transparently deploying funds and expanding partnerships to drive sustainable solutions. The substantial social impact achieved underscores Ma’an's steadfast dedication to elevating the quality of life in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Bushra Al Mulla, Director General of the Family Care Authority, commended Ma’an for its instrumental role in fortifying Abu Dhabi's social sector. The collaborative efforts between Ma’an and various entities have significantly contributed to advancing the Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy, fostering inclusivity and societal cohesion.
Majdi Abd El Muhdi, Head of Corporate Communications at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, expressed pride in the strategic partnership with Ma’an, highlighting the shared commitment to community development and prosperity. Through joint endeavors, both entities aim to bolster social impact and support initiatives vital for societal progress.
The allocation of AED91 million across multiple sectors has directly benefited 161,059 individuals. Notably, AED41.1 million was allocated to the social sector, reinforcing initiatives aimed at promoting social welfare and empowering diverse community groups.
The health sector received AED28.5 million, enabling the implementation of 12 projects focused on enhancing social healthcare services. Similarly, AED9.3 million was allocated to the education sector, affirming Ma’an's dedication to providing quality education and expanding educational opportunities for underprivileged students.
Furthermore, AED12.7 million was earmarked for the environment and infrastructure sector, supporting seven projects aimed at sustainable development and infrastructure enhancement.
Ma’an's fundraising efforts, including contributions via ATM & ADPAY, have facilitated the distribution of AED1.8 million across various projects, benefitting marginalized groups such as People of Determination, senior citizens, students, patients, and orphans.
As the designated platform for social contributions in Abu Dhabi, Ma’an continues to encourage financial support to drive impactful initiatives. Through transparent deployment of funds and strategic partnerships, Ma’an strives to realize Abu Dhabi's vision of a collaborative, inclusive society.
