KSrelief Completes 321 Surgeries for Blindness in Mauritania’s Néma

A medical team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) recently completed a significant mission in Néma, Mauritania, where they performed 321 specialized surgeries between October 9 and 16. This initiative is part of the Saudi Noor volunteer program, aimed at combating blindness and addressing its underlying causes.

In addition to the surgeries, the medical team conducted screenings for approximately 3,150 individuals to identify eye conditions and needs. To further assist those affected by vision problems, the team provided 825 pairs of eyeglasses during their visit.

This effort is aligned with Saudi Arabia's broader commitment to humanitarian assistance, particularly in the field of medical care. Through KSrelief, the kingdom has undertaken numerous volunteer medical projects globally, focusing on improving the lives of patients suffering from eye diseases and enhancing their access to essential healthcare services.
