Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, chaired a high-level meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company at the company’s headquarters.
During the meeting, His Highness reviewed ADNOC’s comprehensive business continuity framework, which includes a detailed response playbook designed to manage potential disruptions before, during, and after emergencies. The strategy aligns with international standards and global best practices adopted by leading energy companies.
The discussions also focused on ADNOC’s proactive measures to protect its workforce and critical infrastructure while ensuring uninterrupted operations and production. These safeguards extend across all group companies, reinforcing ADNOC’s commitment to maintaining reliable energy supplies for local, regional, and global markets.
In response to evolving regional developments, ADNOC has implemented temporary operational adjustments, particularly concerning export activities, to address potential disruptions in maritime navigation and shipping. The company continues to assess conditions on a case-by-case basis—evaluating locations, products, and transactions—to meet the needs of customers and stakeholders effectively.
The Executive Committee reviewed a detailed report highlighting operational impacts on certain ADNOC facilities. These impacts were caused by debris and direct effects linked to the interception of ballistic missiles and drones during recent Iranian attacks targeting the UAE. The incidents were described as serious violations of international law, posing significant risks to regional stability and global energy security.
His Highness commended the swift response and high level of preparedness demonstrated by national entities and relevant stakeholders. He praised their efforts in safeguarding frontline personnel and ensuring operational continuity under challenging circumstances.
Reaffirming ADNOC’s resilience, His Highness noted that the company’s robust operating model continues to deliver reliable energy supplies despite ongoing challenges.
Following the meeting, Sheikh Khaled met with ADNOC’s business continuity team and virtually engaged with frontline employees across various sites. He lauded their dedication and resilience, expressing confidence that the organisation will emerge stronger through determination and unity.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, and Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi.
