The 13th International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA) conference commenced today in Riyadh, under the patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior. The event, which focuses on the theme "Artificial Intelligence in Policing," was inaugurated by Lieutenant General Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya, Director-General of the Passport Directorate.
The conference aims to delve into the impact and applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of law enforcement. It includes a seminar dedicated to exploring AI technologies that can enhance security and policing methods. In his remarks, Major General Dr. Ali Al-Duaij, Director-General of King Fahd Security College, expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Interior for his continuous support of innovation within the security sector.

As part of the event, participants had the opportunity to watch a documentary highlighting advancements in AI applications for policing. They also engaged in discussions and panel sessions on the practical uses of AI to improve policing strategies, law enforcement effectiveness, and security operations.
An exhibition is also part of the conference, displaying the latest technologies in the security industry, where participants can interact with cutting-edge tools and innovations designed to assist law enforcement agencies.
The conference, which began today at the InterContinental Hotel in Riyadh, will conclude on November 13. It serves as an important platform for discussing the future of policing in the age of artificial intelligence, bringing together international experts, academics, and practitioners in the security field.
This event underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing technology-driven solutions in the security sector, aiming to improve safety and policing methods in the region and globally.
