Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler's representative in Al Dhafra Region, attended the start of ADNOC's new liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Al Ruwais. He also visited the Borouge 4 site and learned about other ADNOC projects like Hail and Ghasha, and TA'ZIZ. These projects are part of ADNOC’s plan to make Al Dhafra a major center for energy and industry. ADNOC is spending about AED 175 billion on the Ruwais LNG, Borouge 4, Hail and Ghasha, and TA’ZIZ projects.

Sheikh Hamdan was joined by senior officials from the Abu Dhabi government. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, CEO of ADNOC, welcomed them to Al Ruwais.
During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan was shown the progress of ADNOC's projects. He praised ADNOC for its role in helping the growth of Al Ruwais and supporting the UAE's economy. These projects include gas production, turning gas into liquid, and making chemicals. They also use new technology to work more efficiently and reduce pollution. These projects will help create jobs and support new industries in the region.
At the ceremony, Sheikh Hamdan was told that the Ruwais LNG Project will help provide more energy to the world and support growth in Al Dhafra. This project will more than double ADNOC’s LNG production to 15 million tons each year.
Dr. Sultan Al Jaber said, “We are honored to have Sheikh Hamdan with us for the start of the Ruwais LNG project. These projects will provide cleaner energy, increase the UAE's energy security, create jobs, and help the economy grow.”
Sheikh Hamdan also heard about the Hail and Ghasha project. This project will help the UAE produce enough gas for itself and meet the world’s growing need for clean energy. The Hail and Ghasha project will produce 1 billion cubic feet of gas every day and make the UAE one of the top producers of high-quality sulfur.
Sheikh Hamdan visited Borouge 4, one of the UAE’s largest industrial projects. It will be the world’s biggest polyolefin complex, increasing production to 6.4 million tons per year by 2025. This project will bring in about AED7 billion (around $1.9 billion) every year.
He also learned about the TA’ZIZ project, which will start making chemicals in 2027. By 2028, TA’ZIZ will produce 4.7 million tons of chemicals a year, helping the UAE grow its chemical industries. This will be the first time the UAE makes these chemicals.
TA’ZIZ is a key project for ADNOC’s goal to grow industries and support a sustainable economy in the UAE.
