Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler’s representative in Al Dhafra and the head of Abu Dhabi University’s Board of Trustees, led a meeting with the university’s board members. Sheikh Hamdan explained that since the UAE was created, education has been very important in the country’s growth. He remembered the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE, who believed education could unite the people and make the country stronger. Sheikh Zayed made education a top priority for the country.
Sheikh Hamdan said education has been the key to building a strong and skilled workforce in the UAE. It has helped create many Emirati workers who are good at their jobs. These workers have helped the country grow and succeed. Many of these workers have shown great leadership and new ideas that helped the country move forward.
Sheikh Hamdan thanked the leaders of the UAE, like President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for their strong support of education. He said their efforts make sure education stays important and helps the UAE stay strong and competitive with other countries.
The meeting was attended by other important leaders, including Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance, and other board members from the university.
Sheikh Hamdan praised Abu Dhabi University for its hard work and success. He said the university follows the leaders’ vision and focuses on investing in people for a better future. Abu Dhabi University is growing and helping students prepare for jobs in the changing world.
He encouraged the university to keep improving in teaching, research, and helping the community. He said the university should make an environment that inspires students to be creative, do their best, and become good leaders.
During the meeting, Dr. Ali Saeed bin Harmal shared a report about the university’s plans. He talked about how the university will grow and play an even bigger role in education in the UAE and around the world. He also mentioned that the university is working to keep up with changes in the job market, especially with new technology and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Harmal also shared the university’s recent successes. For example, Abu Dhabi University moved up 60 places in the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings and is now ranked 191st in the world. The university is also the best in the UAE for teaching and helping students find jobs. It is ranked second in the Gulf and third in the Arab world for these achievements.
Professor Ghassan Aouad, the Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University, said the university will continue to keep its high standards. He also said the university is ranked as one of the best small universities in the world and one of the best universities under 50 years old.
Sheikh Hamdan ended the meeting by praising the university’s teams for their hard work. He encouraged everyone to keep working hard to make the university even better. He stressed that the university plays an important role in shaping the future and solving problems in different fields.
