Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk held an unusual 11-minute glance-off before their highly anticipated bout in Saudi Arabia this Saturday. The extended stare-off was a record-setter in boxing times and took the prize for the highlight of the occasion.

Locked in a silent battle for Usyk’s heavyweight belt, the two gigantic figures stood unwavering. Fury towered over Usyk, using his height in a silent challenge. Even as the event coordinators intervened, the boxers held their stares. Eventually, they were physically separated by a mere handkerchief.
Fury, all sweaty and beastly, labelled Usyk a "rabbit" and pledged to "crush" him in the boxing ring. Usyk remained cool as a cucumber, throwing back at Fury an invitation to face his fears. Fury was later escorted off by security, but not before releasing a few more verbal punches.
Over his verbal onslaught, Fury declared he was switching to action and ready to "unload a world of pain" in the dustup. Usyk, the first undefeated heavyweight king in a quarter century, maintained his composure. Undeterred, he confirmed that the fight wouldn't be called off.
This eye-catching scene was a significant episode in a boxing-fest week in Saudi Arabia, a nation known to invest generously to secure mega boxing events. Yet, the charismatic and intense rivalry outshone the extravagance.
The one-to-watch rematch between Fury and Usyk is planned for the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. The side fights kick off at 9 p.m. local time on Saturday, December 21. The big show is slated for a 1 a.m. start on Sunday.
