Emmanuelle “Emman” Atienza, a 19-year-old online content creator admired for her passion for fashion, art, and mental health advocacy, has passed away, her family confirmed on Friday, October 24.
Emman was the daughter of television host Kim Atienza and Philippine Eagle Foundation president Felicia Hung-Atienza, and the granddaughter of former Manila mayor Lito Atienza.
In a heartfelt message, Felicia expressed the family’s grief over the “unexpected passing” of her daughter, describing Emman as someone who brought “joy, laughter, and love” to everyone around her.
“Emman had a way of making people feel seen and heard,” Felicia shared. “Her authenticity and courage to speak about mental health helped so many feel less alone.”
Despite her popularity, Emman also faced online criticism, including backlash over a viral video last year showing a restaurant bill worth over ₱130,000. She later clarified it was a joke and part of a friend’s birthday celebration.
Felicia concluded her message by urging everyone to honor Emman’s memory through compassion, courage, and kindness in daily life.
