Elon Musk has decided to spend less time on the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a project he started with the help of the White House. Instead, he will focus more on Tesla, the electric car company he runs.
Musk said that starting next month, he will spend most of his time working on Tesla. He also mentioned that the main tasks of setting up DOGE are done, but he will still work on it for one or two days a week. His main focus now will be Tesla.

This change comes as Tesla faces some challenges. Investors in Tesla have been asking Musk to stop focusing on DOGE and spend more time on the car company. Tesla is having problems with a drop in sales and more companies are starting to make electric cars, which means more competition.
Musk's role in DOGE has been under a lot of criticism. The goal of DOGE is to make the U.S. government run more efficiently, cutting down on waste and red tape. But the project has caused a lot of political arguments because of Musk’s involvement and his strong opinions on politics.
Also, Musk's job with DOGE had a limit. He could only work on it for 130 days because of his advisory role with the Trump administration. Some people have been questioning if he should continue with DOGE. A report from The Washington Post suggested that his influence in politics might be fading, and that he could be stepping away from the project soon.
Even though DOGE was announced with big promises of change, the project hasn’t done much yet. Musk now wants to focus on Tesla because the company is facing some serious problems. Tesla’s car sales have dropped, and the company has been dealing with more competition in the electric car market.
Musk’s decision to focus on Tesla shows that he may be leaving behind his political role for now. With the struggles Tesla is facing, he knows that he needs to pay more attention to his car company’s future. This change could mean he’s stepping back from his involvement in politics and focusing more on his business.
