Riyadh recently hosted an exhilarating conclusion to the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games at the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University sports venue. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia wrapped up the event in fourth place, amassing an impressive total of 57 medals—18 gold, 12 silver, and 27 bronze.
The closing ceremony was graced by Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, alongside Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, the committee's vice president. This event celebrated sporting excellence and cultural pride.
In his address, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki extended sincere thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for his support, and to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for championing the sector, which has paved the way for these remarkable achievements. He officially passed on the hosting responsibilities for the next edition of the Games to Malaysia, wishing them a successful tournament that continues promoting solidarity.
