Dubai Women Establishment Unveils Agenda for Global Women’s Forum Dubai 2024

Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the President of the UAE Gender Balance Council and Dubai Women Establishment, thanked the leaders of the UAE for their strong support of women. She said they are doing a great job in helping women play an important role in the country’s growth and future. Sheikha Manal is also the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE.

Sheikha Manal shared her happiness about the third Global Women’s Forum happening in Dubai. She said the Forum has been working for eight years to bring countries together to help women grow and succeed. She also talked about how the UAE is one of the best countries for gender equality. The UAE is ranked 1st in the region and 7th in the world in the 2024 Gender Equality Index, according to the United Nations. She said this shows how much the UAE’s leaders care about giving women more opportunities to help make strong and fair communities.

Three Main Topics of the Forum

Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Chairperson of Dubai Women Establishment, explained the three main topics of the Forum:

  1. "Future Economies, Future Societies": Talks about how women can help the economy grow and build better communities.
  2. "Collective Engagements, Collective Actions": Talks about how to get more women involved in business and society by learning from others.
  3. "Impactful Technologies, Impactful Innovations": Focuses on how technology helps shape the future and opens new opportunities.

The Big Event

The Global Women’s Forum Dubai 2024 will happen on November 26 and 27 at Madinat Jumeirah. The Forum will have more than 130 sessions with 250 speakers, including 25 ministers and many important leaders.

Some of the speakers include Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, the First Lady of Türkiye, and Mrs. Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan. Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will talk about the role of culture in creating creative societies. Her Highness Sheikha Hissa bint Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum will share her passion for horses and her experiences in the world of equestrian sports.

Global and Local Support

Important organizations like the World Bank, United Nations, and World Economic Forum are helping with the Forum to support women. Local partners include Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and Emirates Airlines. Other big companies like ADNOC and Emirates Global Aluminium are also helping.

Helping Women Grow

The Forum will welcome people from 65 countries to share ideas and plans to help women grow in all areas of life. The event will also show the UAE’s efforts to support women and give them strong roles in making the future better.

The Global Women’s Forum Dubai 2024 is a chance to inspire change and continue the UAE’s work to empower women all over the world.
