The Dubai Future Foundation, along with NVIDIA GeForce Middle East, has decided to hold an exclusive event for innovation in the game development world. It will take place on January 23 at Emirates Towers Boulevard, known as the NVIDIA RTX Game Craft. Part of the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, DPG33, the event will allow all kinds of game developers, students, and professionals worldwide to come together in the creation of new games under NVIDIA RTX technology.
The theme is "Dubai: Between the Past and the Future." People will be designing games that could portray Dubai's past and what the future is in store for the city. Then, out of the designs submitted, the panel of expert judges will shortlist 15 participants and eventually select the first three winners.
Head of Dubai Program for Gaming 2033 Faisal Kazim also spoke, stating that: "Working together with NVIDIA is to be offering new opportunities to the developers and creatives around building great experiences in Dubai. Our vision would be to be partnering with leading industries in this respect, supporting the growth of local talent and building a leading presence for Dubai within the realms of gaming and technology.

DPG33 was officially launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, in November 2023. Through this program, it is expected that Dubai becomes one of the world's top 10 cities for the $200 billion global gaming industry and creates 30,000 new jobs. It aims to contribute further to the share of the gaming industry in the Dubai digital economy, thereby bringing a $1 billion increase to the GDP of Dubai by 2033, all part of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
Kazim continued, "Our aim at DPG33 is to position Dubai as a home for the global gaming industry. We are focussing hard to bring in top studios and talent, strong partnerships, and growing our local gaming community. With the support of new technologies and strong leadership, Dubai is now ready to take up a leading role into the future of gaming.
Chantelle Tavid, Marketing Director at NVIDIA MENAT/CIS, also shared her excitement about the event: “We’re happy to work with Dubai Future Foundation on this special event. Our shared passion for creativity and storytelling makes this partnership exciting. Together, we’re pushing the limits of what gaming can be and working to create amazing new experiences for players.”
