Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park, part of TECOM Group, have recorded a student population of over 38,500 at the end of the 2024-25 academic year. This marks a 15% increase compared to 2023-24, highlighting Dubai’s position as a global hub for higher education.

Together, these districts attract students from more than 170 countries and offer over 600 programs, including bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, and doctorates, through world-class universities and vocational institutions.

Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park, said, “The diverse skills of our students show Dubai’s appeal to the world’s brightest talent. Our districts foster innovation and equip learners with future-focused skills, supporting the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’ and Education 33 Strategy ‘E33’.”

Key universities in the districts include Amity University, Curtin University, Heriot-Watt University Dubai, Middlesex University Dubai, Murdoch University Dubai, University of Birmingham Dubai, and University of Wollongong Dubai. Prestigious postgraduate programs are offered by institutions such as IIMA, University of Manchester Dubai, University of Bradford, and University of Strathclyde Business School UAE.

The districts also host vocational and training centers like ACCA Middle East, Alliance Française, City & Guilds, and the International Centre for Culinary Arts.

Dubai International Academic City provides academic excellence with built-to-suit campuses and labs, while Dubai Knowledge Park focuses on lifelong learning with Grade-A offices, community facilities, and retail spaces.

Both hubs organize events like Campus Talks, connecting students with industry leaders, and UNCOVERED, a talent competition with cash prizes. The Knowledge Assembly brings together leaders from academia, industry, and government to drive initiatives like the Higher Education Leadership Network.

Students and educators benefit from TECOM Group’s ecosystem, including easy access to corporate and government services through axs, and entrepreneurship support via in5, which helps bring innovative ideas to market. One notable start-up, Relphacare Technologies, was founded by a student at Amity University Dubai.

Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park form the Education Cluster of TECOM Group, which also develops and operates other major business districts in Dubai, including Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Production City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Science Park, Dubai Design District (d3), and Dubai Industrial City.
