Dubai Police has officially launched Innovation Sprint 2.0, a groundbreaking programme aimed at engaging start-ups, technology companies, and academic institutions to tackle future challenges in law enforcement and urban safety. The initiative was unveiled at the Expand North Star 2025 exhibition, signaling a major push toward making Dubai smarter and safer.
Participants in the programme will have the chance to explore real-world problems faced by the police, ranging from crime prevention and data protection to autonomous vehicle safety and automatic car plate recognition. The goal is not only to generate creative solutions but also to test and implement them in collaboration with Dubai Police.

Submissions are open until November 12, giving innovators a limited window to propose ideas that could become part of official police projects. The programme encourages participants to deeply understand the issues at hand and design practical, scalable solutions that can address the city’s evolving safety and security needs.
By involving private sector players and academia, Dubai Police is emphasizing a collaborative approach to smart city initiatives—leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, security, and public safety across Dubai. The winning solutions will receive direct support to move from concept to real-world implementation, providing a rare opportunity for innovators to make a tangible impact.
Dubai Police’s Innovation Sprint 2.0 marks a continued commitment to embracing technology-driven law enforcement and preparing for the challenges of tomorrow, from cyber threats to advanced vehicular systems, ensuring the city remains one of the safest and most technologically advanced urban centers in the world.
