Dubai: Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship set to face Dubai Police in Wheelchair Basketball Final
In the semi-finals, Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship secured a 39-20 victory over Dubai Courts, while Dubai Police triumphed over Dubai Ambulance Corporation with a 31-25 scoreline. The final is scheduled at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex Hall on Thursday.
Both teams showcased impressive performances throughout the tournament. Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship dominated against Dubai Courts, leading 23-9 early on and maintaining their defensive stance to secure the win. Meanwhile, Dubai Police exhibited resilience against Dubai Ambulance Corporation, trailing by two points at halftime but eventually seizing control to secure their spot in the final.
In men's volleyball, Fohood Zabeel and The Emperor earned semi-final berths from Group A. Fohood Zabeel defeated The Emperor 3-1, with standout performances from Paul Puchegger, Jocobo Massari, and Alessandro Tondo. The Emperor's Luco Porro put up a valiant effort, but Fohood Zabeel emerged victorious.
In another match, Zabeel 1 secured their first win against Alameed, led by Aleksa Matic's stellar performance. The semi-finals are scheduled for March 29, followed by the battle for third place on Saturday and the final on March 31.
The Tug-of-War competition witnessed victories for Ground Forces, Civil Defence, and Dubai Customs in the Government Departments category. Ministry of Defence and Sharjah Emiri Guard also emerged victorious, while exciting battles unfolded in the Junior and Community categories.
The intense contests demonstrate the high level of competition and enthusiasm among participants in the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament.
