Dubai International Chamber, a key entity within Dubai Chambers, has inaugurated a new representative office in Almaty, Kazakhstan, marking an important step in strengthening the economic relationship between Dubai and Kazakhstan. The new office is part of the Dubai Global initiative, which aims to expand Dubai’s global presence by establishing 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030. This initiative is designed to enhance trade, attract foreign direct investment, and bring international talent to Dubai, while also supporting Dubai-based companies seeking new opportunities in high-priority global markets.

With the opening of the Almaty office, Dubai International Chamber now operates 32 international representative offices. The move reflects the growing momentum in economic ties between the two regions, particularly as non-oil trade between Dubai and Kazakhstan reached AED 14 billion last year, marking an 82% year-on-year increase. In the first three quarters of 2024 alone, 187 new companies from Kazakhstan joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, increasing the total number of Kazakh companies operating in Dubai to 668 by the end of September.
Commenting on the new office opening, H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized that the expansion of Dubai International Chamber’s global office network is integral to reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global business and financial hub. He said, "The chamber’s representative offices play a vital role in attracting companies and investments to Dubai, boosting bilateral trade with key markets, and creating new partnership opportunities that align with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33)."
The Almaty office will act as a bridge between Dubai and Kazakhstan, helping to foster closer relationships between businesses in both regions. It is designed to attract Kazakhstani companies and investors to Dubai, promoting the emirate as an ideal platform for global expansion. The office will provide invaluable support to Kazakh companies interested in entering Dubai’s market and assist Dubai-based companies with their expansion plans into Kazakhstan by offering market insights, business introductions, and strategic guidance.
This office opening also reflects Dubai’s ongoing efforts to diversify its economic ties with Central Asia and strengthen its role as a global business gateway. By helping companies navigate the complexities of entering these markets, Dubai International Chamber aims to further enhance the emirate’s status as a hub for innovation, investment, and international trade.
