The Dubai Business Forum – Germany just finished in Hamburg. This big event welcomed 240 important German business leaders and investors, along with people from Dubai’s government and private companies. The main goal was to show German businesses the new opportunities in Dubai, especially those connected to the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).

Strong Ties Between Dubai and Germany
H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, gave a powerful speech. He said that Dubai and Germany share strong economic and business ties, especially in innovation and sustainable growth. He shared some key facts:
Germany is Dubai’s 15th largest global trading partner.
In 2024, the value of non-oil trade between Dubai and Germany reached AED 39.7 billion, which is an 8% increase from last year.
The number of new German companies joining Dubai Chamber of Commerce grew by 64% in 2024.
By March 2025, there were 2,719 active German companies in Dubai.
Al Mansoori said Dubai is ready to support German companies in fields like clean energy, digital technology, advanced industries, and global trade.
Forum Theme and Key Sessions
The theme of the forum was “Innovate, Invest, Integrate: Forging a New Path for Dubai-German Economic Synergy.” It was planned by Dubai Chambers with help from the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, Hamburg Representative Office Dubai, and the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK).
The event included 25 speakers and 13 panel discussions, all focused on how German businesses can grow with help from Dubai’s fast-changing economy.
Topics Covered at the Forum
1. A Hub for Startups and Innovation
Speakers shared how Dubai has become a favorite place for startups and venture capital firms. The city’s government offers incentives, funding programs, and special rules that help small businesses grow. Many tech startups from Europe, especially in AI, fintech, healthtech, and sustainability, are moving to Dubai.
2. A Gateway for German Industries
Another session focused on how Dubai can help German industries expand worldwide. Germany is famous for engineering, smart manufacturing, and industrial innovation, and Dubai offers world-class infrastructure, great logistics, and strong potential in areas like green hydrogen and solar energy. This makes Dubai a perfect partner for German industry.
3. Bilateral Investment Opportunities
A special panel talked about how Dubai’s low taxes, flexible regulations, and support for investors make it a top choice for German companies wanting to do global business. There is also rising interest in mergers, partnerships, and private investment deals between the two countries.
4. Future of Technology and Joint Investment
One session explored how Dubai is growing fast in AI, Web3, digital assets, biotech, and smart mobility. The government is spending money on research and development, which is attracting deep-tech German startups. There is strong support for intellectual property protection, which is important for companies with new ideas.
5. Driving Digital Transformation
A final panel looked at how Dubai’s real estate, tourism, e-commerce, and financial markets are pulling in foreign investment. Dubai is reforming its capital markets and making it easier for businesses to get access to money and grow. The panel also spoke about digital trade and global business trends.
A Platform for Future Growth
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, also took part. He talked about Dubai’s strong business environment and how public and private sectors are working together to create more opportunities for international companies.
Dubai Chambers also held private meetings between German and Dubai business leaders, encouraging them to share ideas, create partnerships, and plan for a better economic future together.
In short, the Dubai Business Forum – Germany was a big step in building stronger business relations between Dubai and Germany. German companies are now seeing Dubai as a gateway to global markets, with lots of chances to grow in clean energy, advanced technology, and digital business.
