Aarthi Ramamurthy, a well-known name in the tech world, has started her own venture capital firm called Schema Ventures. She shared the big news on her LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter) accounts. Schema Ventures has raised $20 million to help support early-stage startups — especially those started by unique and talented founders who may not come from big-name schools or well-known companies.

Aarthi herself has a strong background. She started two startups in the past and has also worked at some of the biggest tech companies in the world, including Microsoft, Netflix, and Meta. She has led several product and tech teams during her career. Through Schema Ventures, she wants to help founders who build ideas based on real-life experience, not just those with fancy degrees or famous connections.
Schema Ventures will focus on helping very early-stage companies. The firm is especially interested in businesses working on:
Industrial software
Robotics and smart technology for factories
Construction and logistics tech
Workflow intelligence
Developer tools
Aarthi believes these areas have a lot of potential and need more support.
Back in 2020, during the rise of the Clubhouse app, Aarthi started an audio show with her husband, Sriram Krishnan, who used to be a partner at Andreessen Horowitz and is now a senior AI policy advisor at the White House. Their Clubhouse show was called The Good Time Show, where they had natural and fun chats about startups, venture capital, and cryptocurrency. The show got a lot of attention because it featured big names like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.
Later, the show moved to YouTube and was renamed The Aarthi and Sriram Show. It became even more popular and got a podcast deal with iHeartMedia. By early 2023, the podcast had already passed one million downloads.
With Schema Ventures, Aarthi is now taking another big step — helping the next generation of startup founders bring their ideas to life.
