The Dubai Press Club (DPC), which organizes the Arab Media Summit (AMS), announced today that the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will be the event's Strategic Sustainability Partner. The Arab Media Summit 2025 will be held from May 26 to 28, and it will be under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.
The Arab Media Summit is the largest event in the Middle East for discussing media ideas and trends. It includes important events like the Arab Media Forum (AMF), the Arab Youth Media Forum (AYMF), and the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit (ASMIS). The Summit will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will welcome many important political figures, writers, media leaders, and top executives from Arab and international media organizations. There will also be many successful Arab personalities in different fields, along with young content creators and digital storytellers. Global media leaders will also participate in the event.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, said, "In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who has always supported the role of media in encouraging creativity and promoting a positive future, DEWA’s participation as the Strategic Sustainability Partner at the Arab Media Summit shows our commitment to these values. Dubai is not only a city that hosts major media organizations, but it is also a center for innovation and creativity. We believe the media plays a key role in supporting sustainable development, raising awareness about important environmental and social issues, and promoting new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, that help us grow in a sustainable way."
Al Tayer also mentioned that the Arab Media Summit is an important event for discussing the changing media landscape. It helps media professionals and decision-makers understand the factors that will shape the future of the media industry. The event also gives young media professionals a chance to share their ideas and innovations, which will help improve Arab media. Through their participation, DEWA hopes to strengthen relationships with local, regional, and international media. DEWA sees media as a key partner in its growth and development, especially in promoting sustainability, clean energy, climate action, and a green economy.
Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, the Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, thanked Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer and DEWA for supporting initiatives that show Dubai’s commitment to improving media development both in the region and globally. She praised DEWA as an example of how national organizations recognize the important role of media in supporting sustainable development goals.
"We are happy to continue our partnership with DEWA as the Strategic Sustainability Partner for the Arab Media Summit 2025. This partnership helps us achieve our shared goal of empowering the media sector and strengthening the Summit’s role as the leading platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange in the region," said Al Marri.
She also mentioned that DEWA’s leadership in sustainability is a clear example of Dubai’s commitment to turning sustainability principles into real achievements. Dubai has made strong progress in clean energy, environmental protection, and responsible energy use, which are all essential parts of building a modern and thriving society.
Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, added, "Our partnership with a well-known institution like DEWA brings real value to the Summit and helps us achieve our goals, especially in highlighting how the media can shape the future of our societies. Sustainability is now a central part of development around the world, and Dubai has led the way with DEWA’s groundbreaking projects in clean energy and its efforts to promote environmental responsibility. Through this partnership, we aim to make a positive impact on the community and make the most of our shared efforts."
The Arab Media Summit 2025 will also feature award ceremonies to celebrate the winners of the Arab Media Award, the Arab Social Media Influencers Award, and the Ibda’a – Arab Youth Media Award.
