Coca-Cola has asked shops to return many drinks like Coke, Sprite, and others because they found a safety problem. These drinks have a chemical called chlorate in high amounts, which could harm health. The recall affects Belgium, the Netherlands, UK, Germany, France, and Luxembourg.

The drinks with too much chlorate were sold since November. Coca-Cola has not told how many drinks are affected, but it is a big number.
Chlorate is a chemical that comes from cleaning water and food. In 2015, health experts said too much chlorate can be bad for health, especially for children who don’t get enough iodine.
Coca-Cola said most of the drinks that were not sold are already taken away from shops. They are still working to remove the rest. The issue was found during a regular factory check in Ghent, Belgium.
Experts say the health risk is very small. Coca-Cola said no customer has complained about this problem. Some drinks were sent to France, but the recall does not include French markets right now.
The drinks with issues are sold in cans and glass bottles. They include brands like Minute Maid, Nalu, Royal Bliss, and Tropico. The affected drinks have codes between 328 GE and 338 GE.
Coca-Cola said sorry for the problem and is working with officials in all the affected countries to fix it.
