The World League of Fighters (WLF) held the first-ever official press conference for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) in Dubai. The event took place on Thursday at the luxurious Burj Al Arab and was done in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council. This exciting announcement confirmed that BKFC will make its debut in Dubai with two days of thrilling fights at the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Stadium.
At the event, some big names came together — WLF co-founders Rajesh Banga and Sunil Mathew, Dubai Sports Council Director Eisa Mohammed Sharif, and BKFC founder David Feldman. They spoke about how important this event is for Dubai’s growing combat sports scene and how it will attract fans from all around the world.
Rajesh Banga and Sunil Mathew shared how proud they were to bring BKFC to Dubai. “It took us more than two years to make this happen,” they said. “David Feldman has played a major role in growing BKFC into the fastest-growing combat sport in the world. We struggled to find the right dates, but now we’re here — and we believe Dubai will be the best place for BKFC outside the U.S. Thanks to our strong partnership, we’re ready to make history.”

That same night, in the women’s Strawweight division, Britain Hart will defend her title against Tai Emery.
The excitement continues on April 5th. Tommy Strydom will go up against Kai Stewart for the Featherweight title, and the second main event will feature a strong showdown between Hannah Rankin and Jessica Borga. Other fighters who attended the event included Sabah Homasi, Jonathan Tello, Aleksei Oleinik, Adel Al Tamimi, Vladislav Tuinov, Guto Inocente, and John Philips.
Dubai Sports Council Director Eisa Mohammed Sharif thanked the WLF and BKFC for bringing this event to Dubai. He said, “We are happy to support this sport. It's growing fast, and we want to see the best fighters in the world come to Dubai. We believe this is just the beginning for combat sports in the region.”
BKFC President David Feldman also shared his excitement. “A big thank you to the Dubai Sports Council and His Excellency for supporting us,” he said. “With four world title fights and 12,000 fans expected, we plan to break records here. Everywhere BKFC goes, we create something new — and now, Dubai is our next big moment.”
The World League of Fighters believes Dubai is the perfect place to take bare-knuckle fighting to the next level. They want to give fans and fighters a chance to experience world-class events in one of the most exciting cities in the world. BKFC also hopes to support Dubai’s vision of becoming a global sports hub and open doors for the future of fighting worldwide.
