Famous actor Kurt Russell is making a big TV comeback. He will star in a new spinoff of the popular Yellowstone series called “The Madison.” Not only will he act in the show, but he will also serve as an executive producer, helping shape the story behind the scenes. Michelle Pfeiffer will also star in the series, adding to the star power of the project.
The series features a strong supporting cast including Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Matthew Fox, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, and Kevin Zegers. Fans of Yellowstone have plenty to look forward to, even though the original series likely ended in December 2024.
“The Madison” is just one of several spinoff series currently being developed from the Yellowstone universe. Other spinoffs include “Y: Marshals” on CBS, where Luke Grimes will return as Kayce Dutton, and “Dutton Ranch” on Paramount+, a show focusing on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, bringing back Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser. Another prequel called “1944” is in development, following the events of “1923.”
Unlike some of the other spinoffs, “The Madison” is set in modern times. The series will focus on a family from New York City living in the Madison River valley in central Montana. It will explore deep themes of grief, human connection, and family bonds. However, it is not yet clear how the characters will connect to the Dutton family, the central figures of the original Yellowstone series.
This new series gives viewers a fresh look at life in Montana while keeping the heart and emotional depth that made Yellowstone a hit. Fans can expect a heartfelt story that mixes personal struggles with scenic landscapes, highlighting the beauty and challenges of rural life.

Kurt Russell’s involvement brings excitement to the project, as he is known for his legendary acting career in both films and television. Michelle Pfeiffer’s presence adds additional star appeal, making “The Madison” one of the most anticipated new series in the coming year.
Fans of Yellowstone and new viewers alike will likely find “The Madison” engaging and emotional, with a mix of modern life storytelling and Montana’s stunning landscapes. The series promises to combine drama, family ties, and personal growth in a way that captures the essence of the Yellowstone brand while bringing something fresh and new.
Expected Release: The exact release date for “The Madison” has not yet been announced, but anticipation is high as production moves forward.
