The match started quickly, with Arsenal’s captain Martin Ødegaard scoring in the second minute. After halftime, the Gunners added more goals. Teenagers Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri both scored, showing the power of the team.
Manchester City tried to fight back when Erling Haaland scored to make it 1-1. But Arsenal quickly regained control of the match. Arsenal’s Thomas Partey, Lewis-Skelly, and Kai Havertz all scored, leaving City with no chance to win.
Arsenal are now unbeaten in their last 14 league matches and have 50 points from 24 games. Liverpool leads with 56 points, but Arsenal is now close. City is in 4th place with just 41 points.
The game started with City making a mistake. They lost the ball, and Ødegaard took the chance to score. Although Arsenal thought they had scored again, Martinelli’s goal was ruled offside. After Haaland’s equalizer, Arsenal quickly got ahead again when Partey’s shot deflected into the net.
Arsenal did not stop. Lewis-Skelly scored a great goal, and Havertz finished a fast counter-attack. Finally, Nwaneri added a brilliant curling shot to complete the win.
With this victory, Arsenal showed they are ready to fight for the title. Their next challenge is to beat Newcastle in the League Cup. Manchester City will now focus on their upcoming Champions League game against Real Madrid.
City manager Pep Guardiola said his team could have played better. But with this win, Arsenal are looking strong and confident.
