Woman Slaps Security Officer at Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah

The Madinah Region Police have confirmed that they quickly responded to a viral video showing a woman slapping a security officer at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

The incident took place in the mosque’s courtyard. The video, which spread rapidly on social media, shows the woman trying to walk through an unauthorized pathway. When the security officer stopped her and asked her to take a different route, she refused. Instead, she slapped the officer on the face. In reaction, the officer slapped her back twice.

The Saudi General Directorate of Public Security released a statement on Saturday, March 29, confirming that the police stepped in right away. They handled the situation according to the country’s legal rules and completed all required procedures.

The authorities have not revealed the woman’s nationality or shared more details about the incident. They made it clear that they are committed to enforcing the law and protecting the safety of their security officers.
