Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli expressed his gratitude to his childhood friend Sachin Tendulkar for his blessings after being hospitalized due to serious health problems. Kambli, who faced worsening health issues recently, was taken to the hospital by a fan. At Akruti Hospital in Thane, doctors discovered clots in his brain during multiple tests. Thankfully, Kambli is now feeling better, but his health is still being closely monitored, with more tests planned.
Kambli, who played 17 Test matches and 104 ODIs for India between 1993 and 2000, recently attended a special event to honor his legendary coach, Ramakant Achrekar, at Shivaji Park. At the event, he had an emotional reunion with Sachin Tendulkar. Speaking about the moment, Kambli said, “I feel better now. I will never leave cricket because I remember all the centuries and double centuries I have scored. I thank Sachin Tendulkar for always giving me his blessings.”
Dr. Vivek Trivedi, one of the doctors treating Kambli, revealed that the brain clots were identified after detailed examinations. The head of the hospital, Mr. S. Singh, has offered Kambli free medical treatment for life, showing great support for the cricketer.

Kambli also shared his struggles with a serious urine infection that made him very weak. He spoke about how his wife and children stood by him during this tough time. “My wife took me to three hospitals and kept saying, ‘You need to get better.’ My son, Jesus Cristiano, helped me get back on my feet. My 10-year-old daughter and my wife supported me through everything. About a month ago, I collapsed because my head started spinning. The doctor said I needed to be admitted to the hospital,” Kambli explained.
Former cricketer Ajay Jadeja also visited Kambli during his recovery. “Ajay Jadeja came to see me, and it felt really good. My family and friends have given me the strength to feel better again,” Kambli added.
With the unwavering support of his family, friends, and doctors, Kambli is now on the path to recovery and hopes to regain his strength soon.
