The announcement, made at the academy's headquarters and attended by high-ranking officials, underscored the event's role in advancing women's sports within the UAE. The tournament is designed to promote competition and professionalism in women's volleyball, drawing teams from across various Arab nations. This event provides a significant platform for players to enhance their skills and improve their technical and tactical performance on both individual and team levels.
Shamsa Al Hanaee, a Board Member at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, highlighted the tournament's importance in elevating the status of women's sports. She emphasized the academy's commitment to creating opportunities for female athletes to demonstrate their talents and contribute to the growth of women's sports. The tournament format includes preliminary rounds, leading to semifinals where the top-ranked team will face the fourth-place team, and the second-ranked team will compete against the third-place team. The semifinals will determine the finalists, who will then compete for first and second place over the five days at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy.
