In a significant move to strengthen global energy cooperation, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance, held a high-level meeting with Christian Bruch, President and CEO of Siemens Energy.
The meeting focused on the latest global developments in the energy sector, particularly the accelerating transition toward clean and renewable energy systems. Both sides explored opportunities for collaboration in deploying innovative technologies aimed at improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and advancing sustainability goals.
During the discussion, Sheikh Maktoum reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to positioning itself as a global leader in clean energy transformation. He highlighted the country’s strategic investments and its expanding network of international partnerships with leading energy companies.
He further emphasized that collaboration with global industry leaders like Siemens Energy plays a crucial role in driving innovation and developing future-ready solutions. The importance of knowledge exchange and joint initiatives was also underscored as key drivers in achieving the UAE’s long-term sustainability objectives, enhancing energy security, and accelerating the shift toward a low-carbon economy.
The meeting also highlighted the need to develop integrated, innovation-led energy systems powered by advanced technologies. Such systems are essential for helping countries adapt to rapid global changes and effectively tackle climate-related challenges.
The discussion was attended by senior UAE officials, including Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, and Helal Saeed Almarri, reflecting the strategic importance of the engagement.
