The launch will be shown live, starting at 21:30 GST. You can watch the event online.
MBZ-SAT has been fully built by Emirati engineers at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC). It is designed to improve how we see and monitor Earth from space. The satellite can take pictures that are twice as accurate as older ones and can capture much more detail. It can also send images back to Earth within two hours.
MBZ-SAT is special because it uses new technology. It has electric propulsion, which helps it move efficiently in space, and it has a very accurate navigation system to help it stay on course. It also has faster data transfer, which allows it to send pictures and information quickly.
This satellite will help in many important areas like tracking changes in the environment, helping in emergencies, and managing buildings and infrastructure. It is another step for the UAE in becoming a leader in space technology.
