The UAE Cabinet, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, commended the strong defence spirit of the UAE Armed Forces and the unity shown by citizens and residents during a critical period.
The meeting, attended by senior leaders including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, highlighted the country’s high level of readiness and institutional efficiency under the leadership of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Strong National Response and Readiness
The Cabinet praised the professionalism of the Armed Forces and the dedication of work teams across sectors. It reaffirmed that all institutions are operating in line with national leadership goals to safeguard achievements and ensure swift recovery during ongoing developments.
The leadership also expressed pride in the contributions of the economic, media, cultural, and social sectors, emphasizing unity and collective responsibility to drive future progress.
Ambitious Space Strategy Approved
A major highlight of the meeting was the approval of the UAE’s five-year space strategy, targeting a sector valued at over AED 44 billion. The plan aims to position the UAE among the top 10 global space economies by 2031.
Key goals include:
Doubling space economy revenues
Expanding global partnerships
Increasing national space companies and startups
Boosting exports and infrastructure investments
The strategy aligns with long-term visions such as UAE Centennial 2071 and We the UAE 2031.
Healthcare and Nutrition Reforms
The Cabinet approved the National Integrative Medicine Strategy to create a balanced healthcare system combining modern and traditional practices, supported by research and innovation.
Additionally, the National Healthy Nutrition Strategy 2031 was introduced to promote healthier lifestyles. Key initiatives include banning harmful oils, regulating unhealthy food marketing, and improving public awareness to combat obesity and diabetes.
Global Partnerships and Agreements
More than 120 international agreements and MoUs were approved, covering energy, investment, and humanitarian sectors. These include economic partnerships with countries like Nigeria, the Philippines, and Canada, strengthening the UAE’s global presence.
Economic Growth and Labour Market Progress
The Cabinet reviewed strong economic indicators between 2021 and 2025, including:
45.76% growth in companies
101.76% increase in workforce
Significant rise in female participation
The UAE continues to rank among the top globally in employment growth and talent availability.
Sustainability and Food Security Initiatives
Key environmental achievements were also highlighted, including the deployment of artificial reefs, coral units, and the planting of over 52 million mangrove trees to protect marine ecosystems.
The Cabinet also restructured several national councils, including those focused on food security, sustainable development, and genomics, to enhance governance and future planning.
Leadership Vision
Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed that the UAE’s success is built on strong foundations, including advanced infrastructure, high living standards, and a commitment to sustainable development.
He emphasized that the nation will continue to safeguard its achievements and emerge stronger despite global challenges.
