Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), met with a senior delegation of aides to members of the United States Congress. The group was led by Morgan Cintron and visited the UAE to enhance dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.
Dr. Al Nuaimi warmly welcomed the American delegation and emphasized that such visits are vital for deepening parliamentary relations. He said that cooperation between the FNC and the US Congress helps strengthen the exchange of legislative experience and improve mutual understanding. The meeting reflected the growing importance of parliamentary diplomacy in building stronger global partnerships.
During the discussion, Dr. Al Nuaimi outlined the UAE’s progress and achievements in development, governance, and innovation. He spoke about the UAE’s success in building a sustainable economy and promoting education, health, and technology. He also noted how the UAE’s leadership focuses on human development, making the country a model of growth and stability in the region.
Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the UAE’s achievements in empowering women. He said that Emirati women now play active roles in politics, business, science, and public service. Their growing presence in leadership positions reflects the UAE’s belief in equality and the importance of giving every citizen the opportunity to contribute to national progress.
One of the key topics in the meeting was the UAE’s global leadership in promoting tolerance and coexistence. Dr. Al Nuaimi explained how the UAE encourages respect among different religions and cultures, creating a society where people of over 200 nationalities live peacefully. This approach, he said, is part of the UAE’s long-term vision for global harmony.
Dr. Al Nuaimi praised the United States for its role in supporting peace and political stability around the world. He especially noted the American efforts to promote peace in regions affected by conflict. Referring to the situation in Gaza, he stressed the need for continued cooperation to find comprehensive political solutions that protect civilians and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.
Dr. Al Nuaimi also underlined the importance of the Abraham Accords in creating new paths of cooperation and understanding across the Middle East. He said that these agreements have helped promote dialogue among different communities and have contributed to peace and economic development. The UAE’s participation in the accords, he added, shows its firm commitment to stability and progress in the region
Both sides expressed their commitment to continue working together on mutual interests. The US delegation appreciated the UAE’s balanced foreign policy and its contributions to regional peace. They also praised the country’s role in humanitarian aid and global cooperation.
Dr. Al Nuaimi concluded by saying that dialogue between the UAE and the United States strengthens the foundation for future cooperation. By sharing experiences and understanding each other’s perspectives, both nations can continue to contribute to global peace, security, and prosperity.
