Kim Kardashian Opens Up After Not Passing California Bar Exam

Reality star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian has shared an update on her legal aspirations, revealing that she did not pass the California Bar Exam. Despite the setback, the SKIMS founder remains resolute in her pursuit of becoming a lawyer.

In an Instagram post, Kim wrote, "Well...I'm not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV." Reflecting on her six-year journey toward achieving her legal dreams, she added, "Six years into this law journey, and I'm still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination."

Kim expressed gratitude to her supporters, emphasizing that falling short does not equal failure. "Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far. Failing short isn't failure – it's fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivated me even more. Let's go!"

Her path to law began in 2018 when she opted for an apprenticeship with a San Francisco-based law firm—an alternative route to traditional law school available in California and three other U.S. states. In 2021, she successfully passed the baby bar exam, officially known as the First-Year Law Student's Examination, after attempting it four times.

Kim has consistently shared milestones from her journey with her fans. When she passed the baby bar exam, she posted on X (formerly Twitter), "OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!!" She described the accomplishment as a moment of personal pride, acknowledging the challenges of her unique path to law. "Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today. For anyone who doesn't know my law school journey, know this wasn't easy or handed to me," she wrote.

The reality star also highlighted the guidance and skepticism she encountered, noting that many top lawyers considered her path nearly impossible. Yet, she remained steadfast, calling it her only viable option. "It feels so so sooooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals," she added.
