UAE President and Greek Prime Minister Address Key Regional Developments

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in a phone conversation with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Sunday. The two leaders focused on strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation to further mutual interests, in line with the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2020.

During their discussion, Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Mitsotakis also reviewed various regional and international issues of shared concern. A significant portion of their conversation centered on the escalating situations in the Middle East, particularly the ongoing crises in Gaza and Lebanon.

Both leaders underscored the critical need to intensify efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire, emphasizing the necessity of ensuring full protection for civilians in line with international humanitarian law. Moreover, Sheikh Mohamed and Mitsotakis reiterated the importance of preventing the further escalation of regional conflicts that could threaten security and stability. They called for a clear political framework to facilitate a just and comprehensive peace, advocating for a two-state solution that guarantees security and stability for all parties involved.
