Dubai International Chamber, which works under Dubai Chambers, has opened a new office in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. This step aims to make business and investment links between Dubai and Bangladesh even stronger.
With this new office, the total number of international offices run by the chamber has reached 35. This move is part of a larger plan called the “Dubai Global” initiative. The goal of this plan is to open 50 international offices by the year 2030. The purpose is to help Dubai become one of the top business cities in the world. The plan also helps Dubai companies grow in 30 important countries and brings more foreign investment into Dubai.
The Dhaka office was officially opened at a special event attended by H.E. Abdulla Ali Abdulla Alhmoudi, who is the UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh. Many important people from the business community of Bangladesh also joined the event.

This launch has come at a good time. The trade between Dubai and Bangladesh is growing quickly. In 2024, non-oil trade between the two reached AED 6.3 billion. This is a 9% increase compared to 2023, when it was AED 5.8 billion.
Also, more Bangladeshi businesses are showing interest in working with Dubai. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, there were 9,094 active Bangladeshi companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, the President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, shared his thoughts on the opening. He said, “Bangladesh is a growing market with many business opportunities. Opening this office in Dhaka is a big step towards building strong trade and investment ties. It will help connect companies, grow business relationships, and attract new investment. All of this supports Dubai's aim of becoming a top business hub in the world. We believe this office will create many chances for both sides.”
The Dhaka office will focus on helping businesses in both countries. It will work closely with Bangladeshi companies and also build strong ties with government and private groups. The office will promote Dubai as a great place to do business and share important information to help Bangladeshi companies enter Dubai’s market. It will also guide Dubai companies that want to expand into Bangladesh by giving them market details, finding business chances, and connecting them with trusted local partners.
This new step shows how both Dubai and Bangladesh are working together to build a brighter future through business and trade.
