Dubai’s Salik Company PJSC, which operates all the toll gates in the city, has signed an important agreement with ENOC Group, a well-known energy company. This new partnership will make payments at ENOC fuel stations smoother and easier for customers.

The agreement, called a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was signed at ENOC’s head office. Salik’s CEO Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad and Zaid Alqufaidi, Managing Director of ENOC Retail, were present at the signing.

Thanks to this partnership, customers of Salik and ENOC will soon be able to pay for fuel and other services without using cash or cards. Instead, the amount will be taken directly from their Salik e-wallet. This will happen automatically when they visit ENOC stations.

The new system will use special cameras with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology. These cameras can read car number plates, just like the ones already working in more than 25 parking areas in Dubai — and soon this will grow to over 127 locations. This smart payment method is already being used in places like Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, Souq Al Bahar, Dubai Harbor, Miracle Garden, and Marina Walk.

This move is part of a larger plan by both companies to go digital and make things easier for customers. It will help save time, reduce the need for cash or card payments, and improve the overall experience for drivers. At the same time, it will also help Salik earn more from services beyond toll gates.

Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik, said, “Working with ENOC is a big step in our goal to use new digital tools in transport and services. By offering simple and secure ways to pay, we want to make things more convenient for our customers. This deal shows how serious we are about using smart technologies that make everyday life in Dubai better.”

Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, added, “We’re happy to work with Salik on this exciting new plan. It’s going to make life easier for our customers at ENOC fuel stations. With Salik’s smart technology, we can offer better services and find new ways to add value. We believe this partnership will benefit everyone.”

The agreement also says that both companies will run campaigns to let the public know about the new payment option. These services will follow strict rules to keep data and customer information safe.

They are also thinking about working more closely in the future and finding more ways to make things better for their customers. As part of this plan, there will be a step-by-step rollout of these smart payment tools across more ENOC stations.

Salik is already moving towards offering more smart and customer-friendly transport services. Earlier this year, on January 31, they introduced a new toll system that changes rates based on traffic, to help reduce congestion on roads.

At the same time, ENOC is also improving its services by using new digital technologies and focusing on giving customers the best experience. The company wants to support the UAE’s vision of building a smarter and more connected future.

This partnership is a big step in making everyday life more convenient for drivers in Dubai.
