A supermarket located in Al Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi, named SaveWay Supermarket, operating under commercial license number CN-4314510, has faced closure by local authorities due to persistent violations. Notably, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) highlighted significant breaches within the establishment.
The closure stems from the discovery of high-risk violations, primarily concerning the presence of expired food items and a lack of proper labeling on products displayed for sale on shelves. This failure to adhere to labeling regulations poses potential risks to consumers, necessitating swift action from regulatory authorities.
Adafsa has emphasized that the administrative closure will remain in effect until all identified violations are adequately addressed. SaveWay Supermarket is required to rectify all breaches, ensure compliance with all necessary activity requirements, and address the underlying reasons for its closure before it can resume operations.
Furthermore, Adafsa reiterated that such administrative closures will persist until all issues are resolved satisfactorily. Only upon rectifying all violations, fulfilling activity requirements, and addressing closure grounds can establishments like SaveWay Supermarket expect to regain authorization to resume operations. This stringent approach underscores the commitment of regulatory bodies to uphold food safety standards and protect consumer well-being in Abu Dhabi.
