Ajman University has delivered an impressive performance in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, securing notable global and national positions across a wide range of academic disciplines. The achievement highlights the university’s continued progress in strengthening its academic reputation and contributing to the knowledge economy.
Among the standout results, Dentistry ranked among the top 51–150 globally, making it the number one subject in the UAE for the university. Pharmacy and Pharmacology also demonstrated strong performance, ranking within the top 151–200 worldwide and securing the second position nationally. Meanwhile, Mathematics placed in the top 251–300 globally, ranking third in the UAE.
In disciplines that play a vital role in shaping professional and societal development, Education and Business and Management Studies both ranked within the top 301–350 worldwide, placing third and fourth in the UAE, respectively.
The university also achieved solid results in technology-focused fields. Computer Science and Information Systems secured a position within the top 301–350 globally, ranking fourth in the UAE, while Electrical and Electronic Engineering was placed in the top 401–450 worldwide, ranking fifth nationally.
In the healthcare domain, Medicine was ranked within the top 651–700 globally, achieving the fourth position in the UAE, further underlining the institution’s growing footprint in medical education.
Commenting on the achievement, Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, said the results reflect the institution’s steady academic progress and commitment to excellence. He emphasized that continued investment in faculty, infrastructure, and impactful research has played a crucial role in achieving these milestones.
These rankings build on the university’s broader academic momentum. Ajman University currently holds a QS 5+ Stars overall rating, the highest distinction in the QS Stars system, reflecting excellence across teaching, research, facilities, and global engagement.
With a diverse international faculty and a growing research portfolio, the university continues to expand interdisciplinary collaboration, enhance innovation-driven learning, and strengthen its position as a leading higher education institution in the region.
