Dubai Airport Unveils Special Stamp for World Cup 2026

Travellers arriving at Dubai International Airport are being welcomed with a unique commemorative passport stamp celebrating the upcoming Dubai World Cup 2026.

The initiative has been launched by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) to mark the 30th edition of one of the world’s most prestigious horse racing events.

The highly anticipated race is scheduled to take place on March 28 at the iconic Meydan Racecourse. This year’s edition will bring together around 100 horses from leading international stables, competing across nine races with a combined prize pool of $30.5 million.

The main highlight of the event is the flagship Dubai World Cup race, sponsored by Emirates Airline. The Group 1 race, run over a distance of 2,000 metres on dirt, offers a prize purse of $12 million and features nine elite thoroughbreds from across the globe.

Among the top contenders are defending champion “Hit Show”, “Meidan” — winner of Super Saturday, “Forever Young” — a dual champion of the UAE Derby and Saudi Cup, and “Imperial Emperor”, all expected to deliver a thrilling contest.

The commemorative stamp initiative not only enhances the arrival experience for international visitors but also reinforces Dubai’s position as a global hub for world-class sporting events.
