Reflecting on the nation's aspirations, Sheikh Mohammed encouraged Al Matrooshi and Al Mulla to strive for excellence, aiming to follow in the footsteps of UAE space pioneers like Hazza Al Mansouri and Sultan Al Neyadi, the latter recently appointed to the UAE Cabinet after completing a mission aboard the International Space Station.
The meeting was attended by key figures including Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Emirates Airline. Also present were Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, chairman of MBRSC, and Amer Al Sayegh Al Ghaferi, assistant director general of aerospace engineering at MBRSC.
Highlighting the UAE's flourishing space sector, Sheikh Mohammed urged MBRSC leaders to continue advancing the country's capabilities. He received updates on MBZ-Sat, the region's most advanced imaging satellite named after President Sheikh Mohamed, slated for launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in October. This initiative, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized, aligns with his vision to elevate the UAE's global standing in space exploration.
