The UAE Green Building Council (UAE GBC), with support from the World Bank, held a special workshop in Dubai. This event was about "Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value." It focused on making sure that men and women get paid fairly when they do the same kind of job.
This event happened at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. People from different companies, government departments, and other important groups joined the workshop. Everyone came together to learn, share ideas, and talk about how to make pay fair in the workplace.
This workshop is part of a bigger plan by the World Bank and the UAE GBC. It is called the "Equal by 30 Campaign." The goal of this campaign is to make sure that women and men are treated the same, especially when it comes to jobs in the clean energy and green building sectors.
Speakers at the event explained how equal pay helps everyone — not just women. It makes companies better and helps grow the economy. They also shared ideas on how to check if workers are being paid fairly and how to fix any problems.
The event also helped business owners and managers understand how they can support equal pay in their own companies. There were real examples of what has worked in other places.
UAE GBC’s Executive Director, Huda Shaka, said that making sure everyone gets paid fairly is not just the right thing to do — it also helps the world reach climate goals and build stronger communities.

This workshop is one of many steps being taken in the UAE to make sure that both women and men have equal chances at work and are treated with respect.
